Be a Campaign Coordinator- | Coordinators lead projects from the Blueprint for a Sustainable Campus that are relevant to their campaigns mission. This is a great chance to be a leader and implement your own ideas on how to make UCSC more sustainable. The Students for Organic Solutions campaign coordinator has the opportunity to work closely with interns focusing on projects relating to the wide array of food systems issues here on campus. This includes the ability to work well in supporting a team, which has previously included interns working on Animals and the Environment related projects, a Green Chef competition, and the Gardeners' Alliance. In addition to attending steering and general gatherings as a member of a consensus based student organization, the position allows for learning about food planning and for growth as a facilitator and leader. The position of SOS campaign coordinator also includes a role as a Food Systems Working Group liaison, which further calls for clear communication skills both within and between student groups. - Dominique Texeira SOS Campaign Coordinator Spring 2011

Be a Co-Chair- | "I enjoy being a Co Chair of the Student Environmental Center because I am able to empower a wide range of student leaders in the organization and the UCSC sustainability community at large. I enjoy mentoring my peers on event planning, working with staff, and long-term strategic planning from the org, and as much as I share with them, I learn a lot as well. One of my favorite parts of my job is planning our weekly General Gathering. It's a creative and fun challenge to come up with different environmental and social justice topics for each week, and I like that I get to plan events that I enjoy attending! Co chair is a great position for anyone looking to expand their leadership skills and pass on that knowledge to their peers." -Gabi Kirk Co-Chair 2010-2011
