Waste Prevention:Seeking to help everyone understand their relationship with their waste, or that they have one to begin with. This campaign's largest ongoing goal is making events at UCSC Zero Waste, including the OPERS Fall Fest, Summer Orientation, and the Earth Summit. Waste Prevention also collaborates on Dining Hall Audits, and is currently piloting Slugware, a reusable dish ware service. This campaign is present across campus, working towards our goal of making all of UCSC Zero Waste by 2020!

Earth Summit:Learning about campus and community efforts, envision the future of sustainability at UCSC, and connect with projects and campaigns for upcoming years. This campaign has a very important role within the SEC and for the campus, creating the annual Blueprint for a Sustainable Campus, which serves as a resource guide for all projects of sustainability orgs. These ideas are gathered from students, staff, and faculty in five Blueprint Breakout discussions, which culminate in the Earth Summit celebration event each winter.

Drop Your Own Drip:Drop Your Own Drip is a water conservation campaign that aims to educate students about their personal water consumption and motivate them to change their everyday behaviors to reduce their use. To do so, this campaign organizes audits of student apartment buildings water use, creating a fun competition for who can conserve the most water! This includes mock water statements, information on how to save water and why this is especially important at UCSC.
